Let's pretend we are going toward the San Diego coastline, and then we stop a moment to find this quaint little cafe filled with books, people, upstairs and downstairs; if in the evening we see it, there are people performing"books" and if we pass in the morning, there are coffee addicts enjoying discussions and reading. It even has a playroom for children, and a dog room for pets. It is one of those places you'd like to spend a couple hours in, to purchase or borrow books, because you love them so much, and to learn with a new group you have met there, a book that you can perform.
On Saturday early evenings there is always a musical set to enjoy with your coffee, beer, or wine.
There is even a separate room for those on Sundays to enjoy fellowshipping as do they at church, to chat, encourage one another and also prepare plays or books to perform for the larger audience.

Fridays are performance night, once a month, and we all respectfully listen, watch, and enjoy the effort of entertainment for our usual tribe. This the the hope and dream of International Books Cafe.
We need investors. Plain and simple. To catch the vision of this place. We need people on the earth, hidden angels, who want to create a safe haven for those sweet souls that enjoy life, love, reading, listening, watching others give of themselves, and give of themselves-- their self!
That is how it is in our imagination, as we call it, virtually. This is how I'd like you to imagine our cafe. This is what I've imagined for ten years precisely, but I have been creating it slowly in my mind since 1975. That is 23 years.

It's time for me to ask for help, and that is why I'm asking for volunteers, investors, helpers, companies who would like to invest and at the same time share their wares, like Starbucks, the Upstart Crow, and the like.
Join me in this dream. At first, in your mind, and on this website. Eventually, in reality.
